I absolutely love this brush. We have a shedding lab/retriever mix and she even loves when we brush her with this. We save so much time not having to pull all the hair out of the brush. It works very well

This was my first slicker type brush for my Goldendoodle, and it has worked perfectly. The brush is great for the larger areas, and I use the comb for her legs, ears, & face.. although she doesn’t care for those areas being brushed lol. But I love mine, wise investment & super easy to clean when done.

This works great. Th best thing about it is the teeth retract and stay retracted until you are ready to use it again, Keeps the blades from deforming. Great!!

I was a little hesitant to purchase this brush because I was not sure about that self-clean stuff, but it actually works! It is easy to use and comfortable in the hand. My dog accepted it instantly and rates it highly as well. When you press the button on top the tines retract into the brush head and a big block of fur simply slides off. No more sticking my fingers trying to clean the brush. Because the tines retract into the brush head, they are not nearly as likely to get bent either. Highly recommend.

Out of all the brushes I've used over the years. This one actually does what it says. Easy to clean is an understatement. Push the button and it takes every hair off by itself. I am very impressed with this. Much better than higher-priced brushes.

I tried the brush out immediately on my cat and she loves it. I think it's like a massager to her. It helps get her fur so it limits hairball issues. The comb is useful but I mainly got the package for the brush and I do want to mention how awesome it is that it has the button to easily clean the hair from the bristles. would recommend!

I've only used the brush once so far but am pleased with the results. It is a good size for my toy poodle and did a really nice job fluffing the hair on his head. He was just groomed so he doesn't have any tangles but that kinky curly hair has to be kept under control. The self-cleaning mechanism (just a push of a button) works great. I'm glad I purchased this.

My small dogs did not like this brush, perhaps because it doesn’t have tips on the metal bristles and they need something gentler on their skin. What little I was able to use it, it seems it would clean easily. It is on the largish side, so better for larger dogs with thicker coats, I would think.

Works well but my dogs don't seem to like the long bristles. I have to brush very gently with this one. I like that it's self cleaning but would be better if the bristles were shorter.
Update: At first it wasn't the best brush because I keep my dogs' fun significantly shorter in the summer and this brush was too harsh on their skin because of the long bristles. Now that their fur has grown out, it works much better and they don't actually mind it much.. Though they are extremely furry pomeranians. It works well for brushing them and also cleaning out another similar brush that I use, which isn't self cleaning. Bonus.
The only negative is that it is kind of bulky and heavy, but that's due to the self cleaning design.
Basically, it's not for pets with short hair and works much better on longer haired breeds.

This is a great brush for dogs with coarse hair or dogs with an undercoat. I used to use two different brushes for my dogs. One for regular brushing and one to get the undercoat out, but with this brush, I don't need to do that. Now I use only this one and it gets the undercoat faster. With the other one (the shedding blade dog brush) it took longer and I never felt like I got all undercoat.
If this brush gets too full...like in the image attached, you have to depress the button at the back and pull them out. They come out easy enough but if you just use the button and clean it when it's not so full, the bristles retract and you just swipe the hair off cleanly. Easy, peasy.

My pitbull has short, clingy hair. We've tried other brushes..and giving him constant baths.. and with little success!! There would still be constant traces of his hair everywhere!
We've had this brush for several days now and I'm completely comfortable giving a full 5-star review!
It took my dog a little getting used to, as the bristles are rather stiff. We've figured how to brush him soft enough that he loves it, but also hard enough to pull out all the loose hairs. Using this brush exfoliated his skin and left some "dandruff". After continuous regular use, this has lessened.
This brush is relatively easy to clean. The push of a button is simple and slick. I do have to take a paper towel to help remove the hair particles and some "dandruff" residue.
This brush has eliminated the number of times a day I used to vacuum. (Yes, I used to vacuum once, maybe even twice, a day!) Since I've started using this brush, I have been vacuuming every other day. I could possibly vacuum less, but I have 2 toddlers and a husband. And I think they're just as messy as the dog!

I'm not a professional groomer, but I've owned rough collies (long hair) for over 30 years & do my own grooming. I have numerous combs & brushes I use, but I wanted to try this one since it's easier to empty. My biggest issue is that the bristles are narrower than other regular slicker brushes, so you have to be very careful brushing tender areas with less hair like bellies because the bristles can poke dogs' skin. The handle & brush are thicker plastic, so if you don't have fairly large hands it might be hard to grip. I do love being able to empty it with one hand & it seems to hold the hair well, rather than it flying all over as much, but it doesn't hold a large volume of hair so more frequent cleaning is needed than regular slickers. One odd thing is the sound of the thin bristles was higher pitched & my dogs noticed it for a few brushes, but I think they're OK with it now. I will add this to my grooming tools selection, but it's not perfect. If your dog has a thin coat I probably wouldn't recommend it, you might poke them.
B. Price
My dog sleeps while I brush him. I have Arthritis and the handle is easy to grab. Easy to clean, just push button and is clean!
